OSK Policies

OSK will not tolerate cheating of any kind or form.
Cheating includes purposely using a known glitch or software to give yourself an advantage. Any member of OSK found cheating will IMMEDIATELY be banned from the OSK squad, website, voice server and any other activities we may be involved in. There will be no second chances here as the decision will be final.

All members will respect others when in Ventrilo/Teamspeak.
Please enjoy yourselves but name calling/arguing will not be tolerated. You are welcome to get as frustrated as you please, just do not key your mic when you do. Non OSK members are allowed on our Ventrilo/Teamspeak in our Lobby area. The inviting OSK member will be responsible for their guest's conduct. It is recommended but not mandated that you purchase a headset equipped with microphone to keep the game reverb down to a minimum.

Do not post inflammatory posts in our forums.
These forums are for exchanging information and general comraderie. Feel free to post appropriate material and anything of tasteful humor. For anything distasteful or adult in nature, we have the Adult Forum in which you need to be 18 to join and post. All passwords to our Private forums are for OSK members only and should not be given to any non-OSK member. Forum moderators reserve the right to remove any post at will. An explanation will be given to the original posting member if such action is deemed necessary.

OSK has an age limit of 16 to join.
Any exceptions to this will be voted on by the CO and XO'44444s. This does not include OSK members children who are also members of OSK should they express the interest to be. The sponsoring OSK parent will be directly responsible for their child’s conduct in the game as well as on the ventrilo server.

Participation, being a part of, or otherwise joining another squad while in OSK is prohibited.
You wear our tags, you are a part of OSK. This does not include matchplay with a squad that we may be Allies with.

All OSK shall make a reasonable attempt to join the side that OSK is playing on in the game.
An OSK member will be more than happy to help get you in on our side if you will simply ask. In the absence of a volunteer, the XO or CO will get you in. We are a team, and we play as a team .

All OSK members should also have Ventrilo loaded as well as ICQ messenger.
Squad notices as well as password changes are issued via ICQ and it is recommended that you keep a check on this as you may miss important information that you need. ICQ as well as our Forums should be checked at least once per week so you will be updated on any changes, etc.

Refrain from accusing another player of cheating during the game.
All of us have been accused and it only looks bad on the squad. Take a screen shot or a fraps and it will be forwarded accordingly. Any form of name calling, aggravating another player in the game, etc WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Not only does it make the individual look like a sore loser, but it gives our squad a bad name.

Any new recruit will play with us in the game and join our ventrilo for a minimum of two weeks.
After the initial two week period a decision will be made by the CO and XO’s whether to extend the trial period or to issue OSK tags to the recruiting applicant. Once OSK tags are issued, the above referenced applicant will then be considered a full fledged member of OSK with all privileges. The Commanding Officer reserves the right to consider exceptions to this policy as there are many players who play with us on a regular basis and their gamesmanship and integrity are already well known. In the event of the absence of the Commanding Officer, any XO has the right to waive recruiting policy after having made a reasonable attempt to contact the CO. Special consideration will be given to any member of our Armed Forces. OSK recruits based on attitude, integrity and overall gamesmanship. We do not recruit showboats or loudmouth players. If you are one of the above mentioned, your application will not be considered.

Any OSK member signing up for any squad assignment, scrim or match is expected to take this seriously.
When you volunteer for something the squad is counting on you to do your part. It is understood that at times you will not be able to keep your responsibility that you signed up for due to family, work issues or otherwise but if this happens let someone know as soon as possible, so your responsibility or place in a match/scrim can be filled.
